Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
